Don't miss this screening of the brand new film coming out to raise awareness of postpartum depression, Dark Side of the Full Moon.

Produced by expert Dr. Shoshanna Bennett, Dark Side of the Full Moon is the first documentary to reveal the barriers of care when mothers find themselves suffering from the most common childbirth complications. Postpartum depression, pregnancy depression, and anxiety affect 1 in 7 women, but remain the most under diagnosed and untreated maternal health conditions. New mothers are left to fend for themselves, many keeping silent because of stigma and lack of understanding by health professionals. The medical community's reluctance to reevaluate how they are caring for and failing mothers has created the number one public health crisis of this century.

The film runs 75 minutes. Here is a link to the trailer: http://www.darksideofthefullmoon.com/home-1-1.

Please join us for the 75-minute film and a discussion period after.

There will be a strict 45-person limit, as that's all the room can hold, so please sign up quickly! Any open seats will be made available to interested professionals. No walk-ins please.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This documentary isn’t recommended for anyone currently suffering from pregnancy-related or postpartum depression.
